BUSHMAN'S REVENGE

Bushman's Revenge If you dig Jimi Hendrix, King Crimson, Coltrane and heavy electric jazz it's very likely that you will find plenty to dig into here as well.

Duly intertwined with the scene around Rune Grammofon, guitarist Hermansen also plays in Red Kite and drummer Nilssen in Amgala Temple, Bushman's Revenge already collaborated with Ståle Storløkken (Elephant9, Motorpsycho) and Kjetil Møster (Ultralyd, Møster!).

"Whereas the term 'jazz rock' tends to conjure images of rolled sleeve jackets, slip-on shoes and ponytails, and all too often acts as a signifier for tasteful/aimless noodling, the modern Norwegian scene has reclaimed the term for a type of music that's fierce and exploratory, combining the attack of one genre with the adventurousness of the other." (Joe Banks, the Quietus)

"De voorbije tien jaar is Bushman's Revenge, samen met onder meer Elephant9 en het Hedvig Mollestad Trio, uitgegroeid tot een van de belangrijkste Noorse spelers op de wip tussen instrumentale rock-'n-roll en broeierige jazz. Wat begon als een eerder jazzgericht project, groeide in de loop der jaren uit tot een koers die hen voerde langs donderende riffrock, complexe prog-uitspattingen en gierende jazzrock." (Guy Peters, Gonzo Circus)

THE BAD SLAVES

the Bad Slaves
The Bad Slaves is a four-piece inspired by the great rockbands of the 60s and 70s. Their songs blend heavy riffs with gentle and sometimes psychedelic wanderings. Not full on stoner, heavy blues, garage or hardrock, but a bit of all of that.
