BRANT BJORK & THE BROS
Kyuss meets J.J. Cale. The mellowest man of the entire desert/stoner-scene returns to Belgium with his backing band the Bros, a bag of laidback grooves and songs about the finer things in life. Previous visits were already a success and with a new album on its way, Bjork & Co. intend to bring you the funkiest desert party of the year. (gp)
Brant Bjork and his band The Bros (Mike Peffer on drums, Dylan Roche on
bass, and Cortez on guitar), have toured for much of the past year hitting
Europe 4 times, the States twice, and Australia. BB & the Bros live shows
are fast becoming recognized as the best live rock and roll going and as
Aussie rag BEAT put it, "The closest thing we'll get to seeing the Hendrix
Experience." Dig it.
Originally from the California Desert, songwriter Chris Cockrell a.k.a. “Vic du Monte” began his musical journey as bass player and co-founder of Kyuss, along with Brant Bjork, Josh Homme, and John Garcia. Vic’s Idiot Prayer’s new record “Prey for the City” is set to be released in February 2005, by Duna Records and contains the best bandito-street-rock available!
