THE ATOMIC BITCHWAX
The Atomic Bitchwax is one of today's essential power trios, churning out delirious guitar escapades wrapped
up in thunderous bass and drums arrangements. Virtuoso musicianship meets ferocious energy and a live
reputation most bands wouldn't even dream of. A must-see! (gp)
"In the last two years, the Bitchwax has lost Mundell to the resuscitated Monster Magnet. They've replaced him with Finn Ryan, formerly of space-blues-jam lords Core. One listen to the brand-new track "Dark Chi," available on Meteor City Records' 2004 sampler, proves that they've lost none of their power. The new tune sounds like pumped-up blues-rock, in the vein of Nebula or Novadriver, but with better guitar playing than either of those groups can produce. The upcoming third full-length should roast minds quite capably. In the meantime, they're hitting the road to stoke the fires of anticipation. Expect to see hair flying and horns in the air throughout the nation's grimy rock clubs when the Atomic Bitchwax hits town.

… they’re an energetic, carefree four-piece that grabs the basic ingredients, throws them in a blender and
comes up with a sweaty, beer-soaked brand of retro-rock that successfully combines elements from hard rock,
blues, boogie, stoner and everything that’s remotely related (gp).
