BLUE CHEER

Legendary pioneers of heavy metal, stoner rock and grunge in Sojo!

Blue Cheer is a San Francisco-based rock group of the late 1960s and early 1970s, their sound is blues-based, psychedelic, and loud. The band's first two albums,Vincebus Eruptum and Outsideinside (1968) are very influencial records and Blue Cheer even had a hit with Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" from their debut album.
The group underwent several personnel changes after the release of Outsideinside, and in 1972 Blue Cheer temporarily split up.

In 1988, Blue Cheer, featuring the original singer/bassist and drummer, started gigging again. Their last release was What Doesn't Kill You..., (2007), and the band is currently touring extensively.
